Today we’d like to introduce you to Ham The Aviator.
Ham The Aviator, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started making music in 2016. That year I tore my Achilles’ tendon so I had all the time in the world to start trying other things, one of them being music. I actually got my start in the EDM realm and moved on to hip hop once I learned the ropes. Today, I throw events for upcoming artists and I’m a big part of why the valley music scene is thriving.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Bumpy. My manager got shot back in 2017 by a stray bullet during an event. He decided to step down the winter of that year. Since then I’ve been managing myself and going harder than ever to get myself out there.
Please tell us about your business.
Ham The Aviator is a BRAND. I am the artist, sound engineer, promoter, event coordinator, host, and camera man. What sets me apart is my desire, my hunger, and my musical versatility. My sound cannot be put into a box.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would’ve waited till I was all the way ready before I started releasing music.
