Meet Gwen Beloti

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gwen Beloti.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Gwen. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve always loved fashion and all things stylish – clothes, jewels, shiny pens, cool notebooks, you name it. Today, I am a certified fashion designer but before designing my own apparel line, I relied heavily on accessories to make statements with my look. At a young age, my style was influenced a great deal by accessorizing. With my weight fluctuating for most of the earlier part of my life and dealing with body image, it was difficult to find stylish clothes that fit well. What did I do? I accessorized my little heart away. My personal experience as a long-time consumer first, and trained designer second – is the foundation of my collection today.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but I think that is to be expected with business, a small business. As a creative at heart, it can sometimes be a challenge to be as focused on the ‘business’ side of things as you are the creative work. This is something that I forced myself to balance. Today we are much more focused on marketing and getting the word out about our brand. Brand awareness is key to becoming a household name. We are telling our story more and more.

So there are definitely ups and downs – but the experience isn’t one that I’d trade.

Alright – so let’s talk business. What else should we know about your work?
The brand currently features an assortment of golden-toned jewels designed for everyday wear. Our mission is to provide our customers with a style experience that will inspire not just their everyday look but their mood. Selling fashion and essentially selling beauty is great, but providing an outlet for women to feel empowered is even greater.

Our assortment of golden-toned jewels can be worn stand-alone or layered and stacked. We design and source pieces and materials in line with our commitment to offer quality items equipped to accent or complete your everyday look.

It’s affordable luxury that you can maximize and wear every day. Our collection is produced primarily here in the United States.

Our featured product is our quarterly accessory box, Golden Stories Accessory Box. It’s for our golden girls who love gold tones and want to build a complete collection of pieces that will add style to their daily looks.

What sets us apart from others, I think, is the emphasis that I place on my own personal experience in all that I do in the brand. I don’t know how to design without considering my own experience with shopping, fit, cost, etc. I think customers who resonate with my story and the product will gravitate to the brand because they see themselves in what we do and I myself in them.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I don’t like to live with regrets. I believe things happen as they are intended to. That doesn’t mean that I couldn’t have made better choices. I think I would have focused on brand awareness and marketing a lot sooner. It’s cool to have an amazing product and provide excellent service but if not enough people know about what you’re doing, you can’t grow.
