Meet Grecia Palma of I am Muse Shop in Atwater Village

Today we’d like to introduce you to Grecia Palma.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Grecia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It all started when I was a stay at home mom trying to make a few bucks off of some old clothes I had piled up in my closet. I opened up a depop account and got such great feedback that I realized, I can do more with this than just sell my own stuff. But I needed money to make it all possible. One day, my family sat me down and asked me What do you need to make your dreams happen” and just like that, I got my business started. My family which I’m so blessed to have invested in my dream.

Two years and counting we have upgraded from an R.V turned uhaul to walk in the shop. Which we take to local flea markets and pop up all over the city. Opening our doors for all to enjoy. We sell items we find digging through barrels at local second-hand stores. We visit yard sales, estate sales, we shop wholesale for new items that are trending. We also make art and sell Polaroids cameras, design and screen print our own apparel. Featuring new artists almost at every event.

Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. But nothing amazing is easy to achieve. I will not give up no matter what obstacle might cross my path.

For example, Taking a trip or attempting to take a trip to palm springs to introduce our shop. We ended up breaking down only 30 min. into driving. Leaving the truck stranded. But that only helped us realize we needed to take it slow. I mean it’s a 1973 step van.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with I am Muse Shop – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I Am Muse Shop is a mobile shop inspired by fashion, art and lifestyle.

I am muse is a walk-in mobile shop that specializes in vintage goods, new merchandise, art, wall decor, clothing and accessories. We are known for our eclectic assortment of items.

One of our proudest moments was purchasing the step van for our mobile shop. We knew from here on out that nothing would be the same.

What sets us apart is our presence, bringing the vibes and atmosphere that makes you feel at home while shopping the latest trends.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I have lived here all my life. I am in love with the weather. Always sunny. Beautiful sunsets and places to eat, hike and shop with family and friends.

I dislike traffic, pollution and the high population of the homeless.
