Meet Graham Stone of GPS Media in Huntington Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Graham Stone.

Graham, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It all started with skateboarding. My friends and I were filming in Huntington Beach at this hubba down a ten stair. I was already a little scared to skate it but I told myself I had. I was getting ready to try the trick and I saw a big group of people from an event walking towards me. So it was literally now or never so I went for it and ended up falling back and getting knocked out. Well to say the least, I couldn’t be on my phone for a week cause the light hurt my brain. So when I got back on my phone, it was like perfect timing, I saw an ad on Instagram about making money through e-commerce. I was super interested. So I got signed up and everything.

Fast forward a couple of months later to January of 2019, I still haven’t made any money so I was getting hella bummed. So I took a step back a little bit and focused more on my skating.

Fast forward to July of 2019, I find out last minute of this skateboarding contest in Arizona. I had been working my way up the skate ladder so I was finally at the level to go to my 1st AM contest. Drive all the way to Phoenix and when I got there… something just didn’t feel right. I wasn’t hyped, I wasn’t excited, nothing… I literally didn’t care to skate in the contest. I had been feeling like this the last three months too, just not wanting to skate but I pushed through thinking it was just my emotions. Well, after the contest was over and we were heading back home, I started thinking what do I want to do because skating just wasn’t it. Then, I remembered I had a modeling shoot for FashionNova back in March. I had never done a shoot before and it was probably the funniest thing I’d ever done so far. I knew that was the direction I wanted to head in… and I kid you not, three weeks later I get hit up by this phone brand (I can’t say but it’s the main one lol) and they want me to do three shoots for them at $750 a day. I didn’t know that jobs paid that much, so of course I said hell yeah! Those were some of the funniest shoots! (And to the people that think models have the easiest job, trust me, there is SO MUCH work that goes in behind the scenes).

So I feel in love with the whole industry of modeling, and later that lead me into acting. But I still want to start a business, so I kept looking and around November 2019, I came across this guy named Joel Kaplan and he runs a digital marketing agency. I looked into it and thought this is it! This would be so fun and I get to help people grow their businesses. So I jumped in around December 22, I built out all the essentials like a website, Facebook business, etc. and come late February 2020, I’m finally ready to launch. The problem is that’s when Coronavirus outbreak happened. So everything I had learned for my strategy had to be changed. I had to get super creative and I looked around to see what others were doing as well. Finally, we start growing and right now we’ve only been up and running for two months and we are growing steadily and once the quarantine is over. We can get back to helping TONS more people grow their businesses and succeed.

To sum it up: I’ve wanted to have my own business for a while but didn’t want to work on it everyday all day. I love acting, that’s my passion, so I learned about building a team around you and automating a lot of the processes. That was the biggest game changer ever! It wasn’t anywhere close to easy but I couldn’t live without following my dreams and using every ounce of potential. And trust me if you never give up, you will succeed.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely not a smooth road, I pretty much threw $13k at the wall the 1st couple months, barely slept, and it felt like nothing was working so I had no hope…

But I did have imagination and at night I couldn’t sleep so I would lay there and imagine myself leaving my dream house, driving my dream car (bmw m3-m4), to my dream job (acting/entertaining) while my team handles everything in my business for me. And I’m not quite there yet, but I just got started in my opinion.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about GPS Media – what should we know?
GPS Media is a digital marketing company that uses proven and guaranteed strategies to get results for our clients. And yes I said guaranteed results. Everything is simplified down to a T, mainly because I’m super creative and can’t handle complex things.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Mindset! It’s all your mindset, I’ve always had a mindset of abundance. In other words, there is an infinite supply of whatever you need in life. No matter whether you think so or not, there is. You just have to figure out how to get it, and never ever give up!

For me, it seemed like when a door closed, a window didn’t open, and I felt I was trapped. But if I stayed patient, prayed and worked harder than anyone else then I will get to my dream destination. Simple.
