Meet Grace Patterson and Cristi Fisher

Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Patterson and Cristi Fisher.

Grace and Cristi, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Cristi and I met in Dallas, Texas while cheering for the Allen Americans, a semi-pro Hockey team. Cristi had come from dancing in the NBA for the Detroit Pistons, and I had come from dancing at the University of North Texas. While cheering together on the Allen Americans, we became close friends. After the season, I went on to cheer professionally for the Dallas Stars. By the end of the season, I knew it was time to make the big move I had always dreamed about. The move to Los Angeles. I called up Cristi, we met for a brief coffee and decided together it was time to pursue our dreams. Mine being acting, hers being dance. During our almost three years in LA, I have starred in multiple Lifetime Movies (Cheer for Your Life, Just What The Doctor Ordered, College Professor Obsession), Tubi Originals (Deadly Cheer Mom), DisneyPlus, and T-Mobile voice over. Cristi has signed with MSA for dance and has booked many gigs, including the SuperBowl, Steve Madden, Jay Sean, Flo Rida, Big N Rich, and T-Pain, and more.

At the end of last year, we decided to push ourselves farther than we could imagine at the time. We ventured out to start a company.  BADKISS is our loungewear company dedicated to inspiring women to never settle in life or in relationships. It’s a sexy badass brand meant to empower, express authenticity, and remind our customers that women are powerful. It’s sexy, sassy, and stylish, just like us.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Absolutely not. There have been long 18 hour days, in-fact most days are that. We have not officially launched our company, so the long days are still very much here and here for the foreseeable future. There have been many days where we wake up exhausted, unsure how to tackle the next hurdle in our way, but together we pick each other up and remember our “why.” Staying motivated and inspired can be the hardest part and easiest thing to forget when you are run down. It is very important to take care of yourself in the process of steamrolling towards your dreams. You must be physically and mentally healthy to truly be effective with your work.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am an actress, mainly known for the amount of Cheerleader movies I have done so far. Who’s Killing the Cheerleaders, Pom Pom Murders, Killer Cheerleader, Cheer For Your Life, Deadly Cheer Mom, etc. You can say Hollywood really liked that I was a Professional Cheerleader. I am most proud of my work ethic. I feel like it’s cool to say things like “I was discovered” “I got lucky” or act like you have no idea how you got to where you are. I could never say that because make no mistake that I work everyday from 4 am until I go to bed. I chug my energy drink in bed, grab a quest bar, and begin reading business books as soon as my eyes open. I want to learn, grow, and win at everything I do. Cristi is known for her incredible dancing and work ethic. She specializes in hip hop and heels. She recently performed in the SuperBowl and was a dancer in the Tubi original movie, Deadly Cheer Mom. She teaches me something new everyday. Whether that be her insane drive to accomplish anything she sets her mind to, or her extremely caring and giving nature. She has the biggest heart between the two of us, and reminds me to be kind when I spiral or react too quickly.  Our opposing strengths and weaknesses are the perfect combination, which is why we decided to go into business together.

We knew if anyone was going to be crazy enough to get a company off the ground, it was us.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
One thing people might not know about us is that we are actually best friends in real life. I moved into the apartment right beside her so that we could be more efficient with our time when starting our company. Time is money and if you waste it, you will move much slower than those who learn to be most efficient. We really do everything together and it makes work more like fun. We always say, “we are married to the dream.” Sorry boys.
