Meet Gohar Ohanian and Vartuhi Vartanyan of Sync Yoga and Cycle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gohar Ohanian and Vartuhi Vartanyan.

After studying Kinesiology, Gohar found a passion for fitness. Her career spans more than 20 years, including everything from yoga to cycling to body sculpting. Her education, training, experience, and interest in the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle helped shape Sync.

With equal experience on the administrative side of healthcare, Gohar’s sister Vartuhi Vartanyan also brings a wealth of knowledge and care to all facets of Sync.

Gohar and Vartuhi created the concept of Sync as a unique boutique fitness experience in which indoor cycling, yoga, and core training exist seamlessly in perfect harmony.

Outside of Sync, both Gohar and Vartuhi remain dedicated to their families, all of whom share their excitement and dedication to fitness.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
While starting a business for something you love can always be challenging on the logistical side, we were fortunate enough to have established relationships and experience within the city of Glendale and in the fitness industry that made the road fairly smooth.

Please tell us about Sync Yoga and Cycle.
Our yoga and cycling studio is a boutique location with a state-of-the-art, stadium-style spin room featuring Stages bikes. Our spacious yoga studio is heated by infrared (which caught the national attention of CBS), and we provide upscale touches, from our rental mats (Manduka, the finest in yoga mats) to our fully stocked bathrooms (proudly providing organic Hawaiian products).

We want anyone who takes our classes to enjoy a unique Sync experience, comprised of friendly employees, well-trained and dynamic instructors, a beautiful, clean space, and only the finest in yoga and spin technology. Our members are our family. We know and invest in their lives beyond the bike and mat, and nothing is more rewarding to us than seeing people reap the benefits of showing up and working hard.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Seeing our growth and the enthusiasm and support we receive from our students, I can’t say I’d do anything differently because we’re so grateful to be where we are now.
