Meet Germaine Randolph

Today we’d like to introduce you to St. Germaine.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
In short, I was born and raised in Louisville, KY to a music-loving family. My parents and grandparents played music whether they were cleaning, cooking or chilling. It has always been there. I began writing and recording music at the age of 12 but started taking it seriously while attending Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU).

College was such an amazing experience. In addition to learning about the business side of the music industry, I started performing, collaborating with other artists and even released my first project. Things did not go exactly as planned after graduating from MTSU but such is life, right?

Fast forward past the distractions, failed relationships, scrapped projects and various battles I’ve faced, and we are here. Resilient, persistent, and optimistic. My new song “Relationship Goals” is out on all streaming platforms, and I am recording music again!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been smooth but the lessons I’ve learned are invaluable. I’ve dealt with lack of resources, financial struggles, failed relationships, and self-doubt just to name a few challenges. However, music and family have been there every step of the way. I’m so thankful for both.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a singer-songwriter who creates R&B-centered bops with intricate melodies and factual lyrics. I love connecting with and inspiring others through my music. It’s my therapy AND the universal language. I’m REALLY excited for people to hear my new EP. I’d say I’m most proud of the EP and my authenticity.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
My new EP title “War Room,” will be out on my birthday, January 18, 2022!
