Meet Gadiel Arguello

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gadiel Arguello.

Gadiel, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up immersed in a musical environment. I was lucky to have access to audio gear and musical instruments that allowed me to learn how to play and produce music from a young age. Driven by it, I started taking drum lessons. Then I learned how to play bass and guitar.

For more than ten years, I have had the opportunity to produce varied music styles and to play in live concerts for multiple artists. I started by producing Metal/Hardcore bands. Then I started working with rock pop bands and pop artists. My work became listened to in North, Central, and South America.

Then I decided to move to Los Angeles in 2018. And this brought new challenges and a new perspective about making music. It also brought new opportunities that allowed me to travel to several cities in the US and play in important stages as the Dolby Theater in Hollywood and Tropicalia Fest among others.

I am currently working with my siblings on a project called Implossion, and working on a personal project collaborating with local artists in Los Angeles. I just cannot stop making music.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been easy. Moving into a huge city like Los Angeles and being far away from my family and friends is a big challenge. Also, not having the best tools to create music can be stressful. But something I have learned during this season is that we can choose to innovate by using the resources we already have instead of feeling limited by what we don’t have.

I was able to overcome most of my struggles by taking a posture of vulnerability and bringing people into my process. It is so amazing what human connection can do. It opens new opportunities and takes you to places that you never thought you could be.

I believe I have experienced growth in my creativity and most important in my character.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
My favorite thing to do is to create music, and the way I enjoy it the most is when I create music with my family.

My siblings and I have been making music since forever. Recently we were working on a new album for our project called Implossion.

My part in this process is creating and producing our songs. I like to think of songs as experiences; from the intro of the song to the transitions between parts. Everything must be connected in a creative way that can take people into the experience I want to communicate.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I would like to start creating new music with very talented friends here in Los Angeles. I would like to experiment with Latin rhythms and urban music.

I am about to start working on a personal project to release music under my name and collaborating with amazing human beings.
