Meet Gabrielle Wescoe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabrielle Wescoe.

Gabrielle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I have always loved business and grew up in a family that owned business. For five generations everyone in my family had owned their own companies and I watched how they all grew. It was always natural for me to play store or pretend I was some CEO so it was no schock that I had interest in owning my own companies.

In 2008, at ten years old I was diagnosed with childhood cancer and went through two- and a-year years of chemo and treatments. During that time, it sparked a new appreciation in my life to inspire others, create and write. I started speaking at events across the country and writing as a contributor on The Huffington Post. As a freshman in high school alongside my family I launched my first company and the products grew to be sold in store across the US.

At 19 I opened my Second LLC and continue to run it today. I have my own blog, shop, podcast and influencer platform today and a family of my own. Juggling Motherhood and entrepreneurship has been a new season for my work that has been the most amazing challenge and given me a deeper appreciation.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No. It has not been a smooth road at all. Honestly no one has a smooth road owning companies and working for themselves. It takes hard work, focus and a lot of dedication to get results. Things don’t happen overnight so one of the hardest parts for me when I was younger was staying forced and being taken seriously. Most people don’t expect a high school freshman to run a company so it was challenge to get people to understand the vision I had and balancing school life, social life and work.

This new season of motherhood has brought me a great appreciation for time management and intentionality. It was really hard for me to balance work and motherhood the first few months of my sons life but my husband is so supportive and my son is such an amazing baby that we make it work and have a pretty solid schedule where I have family time and work hours.

Please tell us about the company.
My primary focus right now is to inspire and encourage others and remind them that there is purpose in their pain and that there is joy in every day. My company is faith based so I prayerfully try to have that be the main focus. I run a social media marketing company, online shop, blog, public speak and consult others on building brands on social media. I am known for finding purpose in pain and encouraging people that they were made for more. What I am most proud of as a company is the way my brand has been able to impact others and encourage them on a daily basis.

What sets me apart from others is my experiences and my young perspective. Being 22 with an over 12 years’ experience of writing, public speaking and over seven years’ experience in having a company, building brands and social media gives me a great edge and perspective when coaching clients. I have the understanding of what is fun, new and exciting with the experience of understanding what is worth an investment and what is not.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
The lord and my family deserve so much credit. My faith is what roots me and God is who guides me and the only one who has opened the doors for the amazing things that have unfolded in my life. My parents and grandparents always pushed me to excel at what I did and never settle for anything but my best.

My husband is such a great supporter and helps me so much with daily business tasks and is my biggest cheerleader. I am so thankful for the many women in my life that have mentored me in business and shown me what it looks like to balance motherhood and following your dreams.
