Meet Gabriella Cacciatore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriella Cacciatore.

Gabriella, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am from Waltham, MA a city outside of Boston. I made the switch from the East to the West coast back in 2018. I am an entrepreneur. I also write, act and model.

I struggled with my mental health for as long as I could remember. I started going to therapy when was 15 years old and I didn’t know what was “wrong” with me. On the outside I was a smart, pretty girl with a nice family, lots of friends but on the inside, I was harboring a dark secret. A secret that I didn’t know I was keeping from myself. In 2017, I remembered repressed memories of being sexually abused for my entire childhood. I didn’t want to believe that anything had happened to me but I had to come to terms with my trauma. It all made too much sense. My entire life I had been confused about living with guilt and shame for “no apparent reason” wondering why I was never happy when I had so much to be grateful for finally everything made sense.

As soon as I had the realizations, I decided I was going to start facing all my fears. I refused to let my past define me. I did all the things I believed I couldn’t do one of them being posting on social media. I cared so much about what other people thought of me and I was ready to let that go. I started a 30-day selfie channel where I posted everyday about ptsd and what I was going through to show people that just because you look a certain way doesn’t mean that your life is perfect.

One thing led to another and what I thought was just a little 30 day journey for myself turned into something bigger than I imagined I posted everyday for a couple of years and I ended up getting approached online to come to LA to talk about opportunities with mental health I kept saying no until one day it just so happened that someone I knew was driving across the country alone and was looking for someone drive with. I decided to go with her and then fly home but I ended up staying. It has been the best decision I ever made. A few months prior to leaving I started training to be a life coach I began tapping into my spirituality. I started working tirelessly on my mindset and getting in alignment with who I really am. Since being in LA I have had opportunities come to me out of nowhere once I learned how to manifest. I started to watch all my childhood dreams come true right before my eyes, dreams that I totally forgot that I had. I even found my way into the entertainment industry. I l laugh about it because for as long as I can remember when I was young, my mom would always say to me “how are you not an actress yet”.

One day someone in the industry found me online wanting to buy a pair of my pants, saw a video I made about my life experience and coaching and offered me a part in a tv show and that’s how I found myself in the entertainment industry. Everything happened for me when I wasn’t trying. I’ve learned a lot since I’ve been here and detaching from the outcome of how you think life should be is probably my number one lesson. Everything is always happening for you whether you recognize it or not.

It was like everything was magically falling into place as soon as I started reframing my thoughts. We live in a world where we are told we can’t do things because they seem unrealistic but the truth is you can do anything you want. It all started because I put myself out there I believe that what I went through serves a bigger purpose. Your past doesn’t define you and it doesn’t have to control you. If you reframe the way you look at your life and have faith in yourself you can have anything your heart desires.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been far from smooth. I have encountered what feels like obstacle after obstacle. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is how to truly trust myself and know that all the answers that I seek are already within myself. I put my trust in people who did not have my best interest in mind and it was very disappointing. I’ve learned the importance of quieting your mind and pausing to hear the inner guidance and wisdom that we all already have ourselves. I believe that everything in life happens for you not to you. I live by finding the lesson in every situation and using it to help better myself and my future.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am a what I like to call a Mindset and Movement coach. Two years ago, I made the decision to put all the pain in my life to purpose by becoming a Mindset Coach. I also have an extensive background in fitness both personal training and group exercise. Both mindset work and fitness help heal and change my life so I wanted to find a way to combine the two that’s how I came up with my idea for mindset and movement coaching.

Through my own work, I figured out moving my body and talking at the same time helps fully express your inner truth.

I am a firm believer that our thoughts create our reality. I work with people who feel like they are a slave to their minds whether it be from anxiety, trauma or whatever else they feel is holding them back break free from themselves and their own limiting beliefs to create the life they want and deserve.

Through my own experience, I know that trauma does not only effect your mind but your body stores memories as well. That’s where the movement part comes in.

Anyone who suffers from anxiety or trauma spends a lot of time in their head. They might not even be conscious of it but whenever we feel anxious it is because our body is sending a message to our brain that we are not safe.

My mindset and movement sessions help people get out of their heads and into their bodies to get in alignment with who they are. I believe that the mind body soul connection is essential in order to manifest your dreams, you have to feel in your body what you believe in your mind. I help people change the way they think and feel about themselves and everything they experience. The sessions are spent walking and talking whether it be in person or on the phone.

I also offer one on one personal training sessions, group journaling & meditation, meditative walking and more!

Everything I coach on is from first-hand experience which I believe is valuable and most importantly relatable. Nothing I learned was just learned from a textbook I put together all the things I studied and experienced myself to create programs for others who may be struggling with similar experiences.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
I love watching old home videos. My favorite memories are dancing and singing with my family in the living room. I LOVE to dance it’s always been my biggest passion.
