Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabriel Acevedo.
Gabriel, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started my musical journey back in high school as a classical pianist. I was taught under a USC professor and would travel around the Los Angeles area competing against some of the best pianists in the world. As a result, this love of music inspired me to buy my first music program, Logic Pro X, around my junior year of high school. I was self-taught for years, as my previous understanding of music theory made the process seemingly easy. As my skills increased, so did my clientele, as I was getting more and more jobs to produced singles and albums for upcoming artists around the country. Now, in 2020, I am earning my associate degree in Audio Engineering, so by mid-2021, I will be both a music producer and engineer, a goal I have had for a long time. The grind has never been more intense, but never more fun! The road is a challenging one, but well worth it!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Things have been smooth, but there are always struggles. People will doubt you and/or your dream, but you just have to continue the course and accomplish your dreams.
Please tell us about Gmbeatz.
Gmbeatz is my company. I specialize in producing and engineering singles and or full albums for upcoming artists with a vision. I am most proud that I can turn an artists idea into a real, musical creation that can felt by anyone.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is listening to classical orchestras as a little boy with my mom and dad.
