Today we’d like to introduce you to Fariba Zandpour.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I had special interest in natural remedies and herbs since very young age. Years later when I discovered Ayurveda through yoga, I knew that it is what I always wanted. I decided to go to school again and study this science. I never stopped learning and practicing it, since it came to my life. Ayurveda is vast and a body, mind and soul knowledge. It means knowledge of life and longevity. It brought me back to myself, healed me form within and encouraged me to share this amazing knowledge with others.

I left my accounting job and founded Natural Elements Healing to start my practice and teachings. I was so passionate about natural healing that I also studied Chakras, Marma therapy (Acupressure), massage therapy, Reiki and more and became certified. I love to attend seminars, read, write and research on Ayurvedic perspective of health. Best things in my life are my family, nature, yoga, dance and music while the knowledge of Ayurveda is my guide and my passion at all times.

Has it been a smooth road?
Practice of Ayurveda had been a great struggle but I did it with love and passion. When I stared Ayurveda almost nobody knew about it. Even some people became critical and started arguing with me. So I decided to start Ayurvedic gatherings and invited people to come and listen to me. I love sharing healing foods with others and that helped to bring people. I gradually started getting clients even though it was a very slow process in the beginning. I never stopped, and stayed patient. It was like a dream first time I heard Oprah introduced Ayurveda in her show and then Dr. Oz started talking about it! Even after that, Ayurveda was not known that much and still it’s not! But things are changing and People are becoming more conscious and getting interested in natural health. Most of them google it and get some incomplete information and still don’t know the cause and try to treat some symptoms. But at the same time so many people go to Ayurvedic doctors and seek advice, Thanks NAMA, National Ayurvedic Medical Association, a nonprofit organization and an advocate for Ayurveda. It deals with regulations and standards of Ayurveda practice and education. So many schools, organizations, and practitioners join Nama every year. It is a great way to find practitioners in different areas. It is so heart-warming to observe the bright future of Ayurveda. This has been a great lesson and makes me stronger in perusing my passion under any circumstances and I recommend everybody to follow their real passion in life.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Natural Elements Healing – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I see clients for health and wellness. I always start with an initial Ayurvedic consultation to understand my clients’ doshic blue print or deep nature. It is like understanding the seed and recognizing how to take care of it, what kind of soil is good and how much light and water it needs. I prepare a special food, diet and lifestyle plan and help them to start the change and see results. I pay a lot of attention to food and teach them how to prepare and cook balancing meals. Ayurvedic cooking and nutrition is one of my specialty and people love my food. I create a special therapy plan which can include massage, energy therapy, yoga, detoxification, and more depending on the ability and lifestyle of my client. I also work on mental and spiritual levels based on the science of Ayurveda. Everything I do is custom designed. There Is so much information out there and people are so confused as what to pick. What I do is very different. I don’t treat the symptoms I look for the cause. I want to understand that deep nature and the cause of imbalance or the dis-ease. Then I create a healing or preventive program to bring them back to the path of balance. I believe we are what we eat, what we digest and more importantly what we create of ourselves.

Everybody is special and has a unique constitution which should be kept in balance. I live an Ayurvedic lifestyle and teach my clients to do the same. My goal is to help them to become their own healers.
