Meet Eze Egeonuigwe of Visualsbyeze in Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eze Egeonuigwe.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Eze. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a 24-year-old professional photographer and videographer. I was born in Cerritos, CA, and I began my journey with photo and video during my last years of high school. At the time I could not afford a camera so I would borrow my friend Jordan’s camera and take pictures of everything and anything. Growing up, my dad was known for taking hundreds of photos of our family, events, and everyday lifestyle adventures, which I began to emulate while in high school. As I transitioned into California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) the following year, I no longer had a camera, and my goals were set on becoming an environmental engineer.

During my first year, I was fortunate enough to receive a camera as a birthday gift from my oldest sister, which completely changed my life. My freshman and sophomore year consisted of me taking pictures, videos, and editing every single day. I was able to learn Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere through YouTube videos and everyday practice. Tied in with my willingness to improve on my skills was also a mission I had for the black community at CSUF. I noticed early on that there was a lack of representation of African-American students on social media/web platforms for my school and wanted to be the one who changed that. I joined the Black Student Union on campus and made a strong effort to document all of the people and events that were being put on by the black community. I was able to create the first website for the Black Student Union,, which showcased everything that was going on and allowed incoming students to see what was happening within the black community at CSUF.

Through these efforts and by God’s grace, I was able to network and build with so many individuals within my community and across the world while subsequently building upon my craft. After my sophomore year, I decided to change my major to business marketing, which I knew I could tailor into my passion for photo/video. Fast forward to today, and I have been able to turn my passion into a full-time business.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As my business has grown over the years, I’ve encountered my fair share of obstacles. I’ve had equipment stolen, SD Cards corrupt, lost data and files, and many misc barriers that come with the business. At the time, dealing with these obstacles was very tough from a mental and business standpoint. However, I appreciate those obstacles because they helped shape me as an entrepreneur. I was able to work smarter when it came to conflict management, file protection, and assuring that my clients are 100% satisfied.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Visualsbyeze – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
As a photographer and videographer there are many areas that I am fortunate enough to specialize in. For photography, I specialize in weddings, portraits, graduation, events, and fashion. For videography, I specialize in weddings, music videos, dance videos, corporate commercials, and events. I believe what sets me apart is my creative style, flexibility, and efficiency when it comes to projects done in a timely manner. Every day I thank God for my ability to go out and create and I pray that I continue to build and expand along the way.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Future plans include opening up my own studio in LA or Orange County and having it as a hub for upcoming creatives to express themselves and curate amazing content for the world to see. I’ll be selling Lightroom photography preset packs on my website that will be available November of 2019. Lastly, I’m working towards business plans in New York, Atlanta, and Texas by the grace of God..
