Today we’d like to introduce you to Else Van Zandwijk.
Else, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started the company three years ago. It grew from a love for vintage and lifting people up. As a former fashion editor, I love the transformative aspect of clothes and accessories and the pieces help people express their identity and individuality through symbolism and distinctiveness of them. I have had the luck of supportive friends wearing what I make out loud and am a young company.
Has it been a smooth road?
Struggle has been to structure myself. Being self-employed requires self-discipline and there definitely was a period where I got easily distracted. COVID in a way has really helped to make me sit down behind a computer and get stuff done.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Le Depot Dore story. Tell us more about the business.
Le Dépôt Doré is a Los Angeles based jewelry brand where original, vintage-inspired pieces and repurposed vintage finds converge. It is about lifting people. About giving them some sort of armor to remind them of their strength, courage and love.
Through the symbolism and distinctiveness of the pieces, people can express themselves. There are a lot of animals In the collection. Lots of animal rings. Reworked vintage sweaters with quotes and prayer embroidered on it and customizable rings and bracelets to have your personal message engraved in.
