Meet Elodie Attias

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elodie Attias.

Elodie, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?I was born and raised in Paris. I graduated from Paris Dauphine University with a degree of Economics and Management then received a Master in Business Administration from SDA Bocconi University, in Milan, Italy.

At 24, America saved my life.

I was diagnosed with bone cancer after winning the US Green card Lottery. With the near completion of the American Embassy’s rigorous interview process, a chest X-ray revealed the truth that would change my life forever. I did not just win the lottery for the green card but for my life as well. That was a miracle.

I wrote my memoir, THE LUCKY CARD (available on Amazon) to give hope to people. My book depicts my fight against cancer, and shows how imagination and laughter can also help overcome suffering and fears.

Through my incredible and harrowing journey to recovery, I discovered purpose and passion for my life. I learned more about myself than I could ever imagine. Through my own experiences, I hope I can help others instill self-belief.

Following the success of my book in France, I was called two years ago to Hollywood to write the screenplay and make a movie about my life.

I live now in Los Angeles, and writing books and screenplays allow me to combine my passions for art and spirituality while helping make the world a better place.

It’s now my turn to give back to America. America is a country that not only literally saved my life but is helping me now to make my dreams come true.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The cancer was a painful experience, but also a wake-up call for me, to remember my mission. It catapulted me into learning to come back to the essentials in my life, to not take life too seriously, not to act like a robot who was always seeking validation from others for my own choices. I learned to take care of myself, embrace my uniqueness, and follow my heart with no fear. I learned to trust myself and come back to the path that was closer to the desires of my soul.

My cancer taught me to heal hidden suffering and create a more meaningful life for myself to help others. That’s my life’s work, and I love it. My life was supposed to be in Los Angeles, the city that saved me and no more in Paris, working in the fashion world, for the family business. I was supposed to write and tell stories in the country that saved me and that is so close to my heart.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
I am a screenwriter, an author and an inspirational speaker.

I have published two books, THE LUCKY CARD, and WE ARE HEROES, both available on Amazon.

My purpose is to inspire people to be their own hero, but also help them recognize new perspectives and heal their past by breaking wrong inner patterns. What gives me joy is to help people connect with their own intuition, find their authentic self and discover what makes them unique so they can find purpose in this lifetime. We are all supposed to share our unique talents with the world. The world needs all of them.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have started earlier to encourage people to embrace their uniqueness, and to learn to be proud of themselves more often.

I would have stopped racing against the clock and would have learnt earlier to breathe more consciously.

I try now to really trust the process. My soul already knows where it wants to go so I try to give my soul a voice and calm my mind as often as possible.

I am learning that each day is an opportunity to be new again, to act differently, closer to a state of love than fear, to empower myself and create a positive ripple effect in this world.

Each day, we all can set up positive intentions, and new resolutions and once we do that doors open and we can create a fertile soil ready to receive beautiful and productive seeds. Let’s allow ourselves to receive.

I am known for my two published books THE LUCKY CARD, and WE ARE HEROES and for my inspirational speeches. I am known to inspire others to be their own hero and help them heal their past. With my screenplay, books and my speeches, I help people connect with their intuition, find their authentic self and find what makes them unique so they can find purpose in this lifetime.
