Today we’d like to introduce you to Ellis Linehan and Jenny Hiney.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
We met in middle school. Right around the time roll-on glitter and “Yeah!” were super popular. We were always the friends who had the small digital cameras attached to our hands, documenting all the moments we could.
Fast forward to 2017, roll-on glitter was a thing of the past but we still loved documenting and capturing moments… so we decided to take the leap and start pursuing photography professionally. We quickly realized we LOVE photographing couples and graduating seniors – from our own personal experiences and watching close friends go through these seasons, we’ve found that those seasons of life (engagement, marriage & first step into #adulting) are a cause for celebration and memorializing.
Please tell us about your art.
Our hope is to capture the joy in our client’s lives and have it represented in a photograph for them to remember forever.
What do you think is the biggest challenge facing artists today?
That’s a tough question to answer. We’re not entirely sure. We keep hearing time and time again, community over competition. So maybe this idea that it shouldn’t be about who’s better than who but instead, that we should all be in this together as a support system. We couldn’t imagine doing this alone without other photographers supporting us and encouraging us!
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
