Today we’d like to introduce you to Elani Kay.
Elani, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
During college, I started a network marketing business which pushed me out of my comfort zone, taught me about self-development, educated me about finances in a way we never learned in school, and I really began to believe that dreams could be reality if I worked for it. From that time frame to years later, I became a full-time Mother of three boys. My oldest son started his acting journey at the age of nine and became a working SAG-AFTRA actor shortly after. I eventually moved us to Southern California to support his career. As a Momager raising an ambitious young boy, I was encouraged to also set some goals for myself. Overcoming trauma, struggles, and some of the darkest days of my life all led me to where I am today. I chose to commit to setting a healthy example for my boys and in doing so I found myself learning some of life’s toughest lessons in regards to relationships, business, and life as a whole.
Growth, change, and giving back were all a part of the focus of my energy. My goal was “to provide as many platforms for others to help them get their message out to the world.” I believe in the importance of storytelling and sharing with the world your truth, your talents, your gifts, and your heart. I have a background in music, radio, child development, and sales. As a public speaker, International best-selling author, life coach, and business owner, I merged all of what I love into a vision that supports other people who choose to work towards making their visions and dreams a reality. Along my journey, I have learned from my mentors, teachers, mistakes, friends, business partners, and God showing me what it is I need to see. Being resourceful and resilient has been key to continuing my path moving forward and to never quit. I’m grateful each day for all of it.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As a host of the show “Elani Talk,” I have brought on many guests who share their stories as well as provide their top tools in their “toolbox.” I believe we all carry around a set of tools metaphorically that we use to help us through life’s toughest situations and moments. When I was going through some of the most challenging times in my life, I really had to use the right tools to not only help me get through those times but also to help elevate my life and reach higher levels of success. Pain is pain and struggle is struggle. Everyone may be different and there may be different types of struggles, but what I do know for sure is that everyone is fighting some sort of inner battle with either their past, with themself, or their future.
The ‘fight’ we fight though doesn’t always need to be considered negative because every survivor I know who has made it to the other side has shared with me how much stronger and wiser they are having been through what they went through. The process of the journey to the other side is what matters. In business, I have learned what lies, betrayal, greed, and everything in between looks like. I’ve lost, I’ve lost money, I’ve lost people along the way, I’ve failed, I’ve made mistakes, and I’ve been hurt. I’ve had to endure life and death situations as well as go through very serious life-changing events. I’ve been a victim in many ways, but I feel that at this point having peace in my mind and heart about all that I’ve endured is how I can live each day in gratitude, no matter how bad it may have been.
We’d love to hear more about your business.

What were you like growing up?
My mother said I was shy as a young girl, so she put me in violin and vocal coaching classes. I had my first stage performance at six years old and I believe that altered what could have been. I was in dance, musical theater, performed in shows my entire childhood as a singer and also sang solos for the church I attended. I had my share of stages, so I definitely am a different woman today than I was two decades ago, a decade ago, and maybe even a few years ago. The core interests I believe though have remained the same. Music is a part of my heartbeat, helping others is ingrained in the DNA of my soul, and growing to be better each day is a personal mission. These things will not change about me.
