Meet Eduardo Iván Muñoz of Laloland Pictures in South Central

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eduardo Iván Muñoz.

Eduardo Iván, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve been in the film industry for over a decade. I’m a director, producer, and photographer. Over a year ago, I began taking headshots for my actor friends, which has now become a side business.

I created/directed two viral videos called Sh*t Mexican Girls Say back in 2012 that sort of inspired the Latinx content wave. Here are the links to those videos;

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I would say insecurity has been my biggest struggle. Feeling like I’m not good enough or talented enough to do what I love. Fear of failure has stopped me from putting myself out there. Not realizing that I need to do everything I need to do for me. Not believing that my identity is my strength.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I’m Laloland Pictures. A photography business and production company. I’m known for being a director and photographer. What I’m the most proud of is the relationship that I’ve built with my clients. The level of professionalism, trust, and quality of work that I offer. From engagement photos to content production, what sets me apart from others is that I take the time to listen to my clients’ necessities and offer a creative proposal that satisfies both the client and me.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was very creative. I was always the most artistic of my class. My nickname was Picasso in high school. As a kid, I was very into pop culture and hot Cheetos. Personality-wise, I was both quiet and loud at the right times.
