Meet Dwayne and Kyme Mariner

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dwayne and Kyme Mariner.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Dwayne and Kyme. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Kyme was getting her eyelashes done back home in Amarillo. The girl asked her if she had ever heard of IV vitamin companies. Kyme said no to which the lash girl started to tell her of a friend that had franchised an IV hydration vitamin company. Kyme returned home and told Dwayne. We drove back to LA the following week and went back to work in the ER as we had done for the last 12 years or so. We waited patiently for our friend, ER MD Jon Prince, to arrive at work with us. The moment he arrived Dwayne cornered him in the office and said “give me your medical license, your DEA license, your SS number and everything else that is important to you and we are starting a business! He looked at Dwayne and took about 1 second to ponder and said “ok”.

We had the idea, now as doctors and nurses, how do we start? We formed the LLC and learned on the fly how to start and operate a business. We made websites, logos, and packages. We thought that was it to operating a business. We were mistaken on an enormous level. We learned the hard way you have to have a Google presence. You have to have keywords, SEO, web page changes regularly. We threw good money after bad trying to get the upper hand on google and google maps. We used Yelp only to find out that yelp is sinister and extorts you for advertising dollars. It was hard is a drastic understatement. Finally, we asked for help. We employed some website experts and upped our game. We are being found on google and yelp and now we are rolling as a business. I would like to say to date that we know everything there is to know about being a business, but wishful thinking. We opened our second business in December of 2018 and rented space for Erasing Time. Erasing Time does all sorts of medical beauty procedures for men and women. We decided to incorporate our IV services in the office as well. Off the streets and into the office, as it were. The business started to pick up because we now had a brick and mortar location. Still much to learn. We have grown exponentially over the last year and have somewhere between 200 and 400 customers with the two businesses. We have served celebrities, up and comers, everyday people and even ourselves. We believe in what we do and want everyone to be able to afford our services. We have done triathlons, Emmy gifting suites, Summer concert series and are attending an Oscar gifting suite in February. We have made many friends through our business and continue to make friends. We always say we don’t want your business, we want your friendship, trust, and want you to return not as a customer but as a guest.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nope. Employees, logistics, advertising procurement of supplies, sleep, balancing work/life.
