Meet Dwayne Calvin of DewloCuruSo Apparel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dwayne Calvin.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
This company was made up between two brothers that had an idea to somehow give something back to the community. Fashion was at the top of our list to do, we figure coming up with a fashion line that will be a way to open other doors to how we want to give back to the world.

Just in little over a year, we start receiving a lot of support from people with different ethnics that wanted to order a piece of our apparel, just that alone started to let me know we can do this. We not at our full strength just yet, but when we reach our goal the world will know exactly who DewloCuruSo apparel is. We going to bring back the things that is lacking now in the communities that we had when we was kids.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t. First, it was to get people to believe in who you are an what you was trying to do. Many people didn’t believe in what we are doing because we’re not a big name. Not knowing that just driving us harder everyday to get better one step at a time we not in any hurry to get to our goal. We are looking at been more than just a clothing line.

Please tell us about DewloCuruSo Apparel.
My company specializes in fashion from Hoodies, t-shirts, hats, beanies, gym attire and much more to come. We set ourselves apart from others because we started within a family idea. We are motivated to be involved in everyday life, again we’re not just a clothing line and here to make millions of dollars that’s not our adjective to only think about. First thing first we here to give back, we can’t change the world but atleast we can be just that small piece that can make an impact on someone life in every community.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Going outside riding bikes with my friends in LA going to football practice at Horace Mann Jr high and riding to the LAKERS original home (The Form) in Inglewood. For sure, playing sideline pop football in the streets with my neighborhood friends and chasing ice cream trucks down.
