Meet Dustin Grabiner of Hermosa Kustoms in Hermosa Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dustin Grabiner.

Dustin, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs. Dinners at our house were like business courses which I paid close attention to. Once I completed my college education, I immediately joined the film industry which I lovingly compare to running away with the circus! After ten years, I noticed the industry changing and perhaps I grew a bit bored. I was soon introduced to the world of trade shows and pop-up events.

It was not difficult to apply the skills I had acquired, building all types of installations and custom props. Currently, I have some clients in the experiential industry, a new emerging market that is ripe with creativity and expression. I am really enjoying it! I believe in lifestyle by design. Art is my passion, and I love to share it with my community.

Has it been a smooth road?
There is no clear path in the film industry and even less of a route as a creative. I have struggled, I have wanted to give up, I have had so many sides hustles that I lost count. But ultimately you must soldier on, I’m too young to quit.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Hermosa Kustoms – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Hermosa Kustoms is a creative service for many different clients. We are with you from ideation to installation. We have clients in the film and advertising industry, corporate, and experiential sectors. We are different from others because of our attention to detail and turn around time.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I am a Los Angeles native, it is my home! I am fortunate to have traveled extensively over the years, it gives me a unique perspective. Los Angeles is great because anything you need you have access to. But Hermosa Beach is where I get my sense of community, it really is a small town. I go the extra mile to give back to my neighbors.
