Meet Diana Newton of Fitmix Studio in West Hollywood, Atwater Village, and Encino

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diana Newton.

Fitmix’s first location opened April 9th, 2012.

Diana Newton and Brian Tuthill are co-owners and friends. After teaching Pilates and other fitness genres for many years prior they decided to open their own studio combining Pilates on the Reformer with treadmill high intensity interval training. The emphasis at Fitmix is community. It’s a no intimidation atmosphere where all levels can come together to get a great workout and have fun!

Since opening the first location they have expanded to 2 more in Los Angeles and plan to open more studios out of state next.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
HA! A smooth road. Owning a business is always a challenge – especially when it comes to growth and expansion but it’s also very rewarding.

We were concerned when we opened the 2nd/3rd locations that we wouldn’t be able to maintain our “small family” feeling between our clients and incredible teachers – but we’ve worked really hard to keep that alive and have been successful 🙂

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Fitmix Studio story. Tell us more about the business.
We are really known best for a few things.
1 – Our friendly + inclusive atmosphere.
2 -Our hyper focus on form and personal attention.

We are most proud of our long term relationships with our clients.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Luck exists. Luck is a factor. But you can also make your own luck.
We have been most lucky to have an amazing group of family and friends to help support us on this journey.
