Meet Dhar Mann of LiveGlam in Downtown LA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dhar Mann.

Dhar, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve been an entrepreneur my whole life. From selling baseball cards at nine years old to starting a real estate mortgage company in college at 19. To making International headlines as an early pioneer in the medical marijuana industry at 25. To running the cosmetics company LiveGlam that I started with $600 and grew to over $20M in annual sales today.

Each business, through their various failures and successes, has taught me a lot about life and business. So I’ve taken those lessons and transformed them into motivational video content that has received over 1 Billion organic views on Facebook and YouTube.

Has it been a smooth road?
I’ve experienced tremendous amounts of failure, and that’s the only reason I’ve succeeded today. I’ve had my entire industry crash. I’ve had huge product launches turn out to be complete flops. I’ve run out of cash and gone broke multiple times over. I’ve lost my biggest clients and have had failed partnerships. I’ve made very public mistakes that have cost me my reputation. But after every wrong turn, every mistake and every failure, I took away key lessons that helped me get better over time. I failed my way to success.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I run a beauty box subscription called LiveGlam. We have three different beauty boxes our members can choose from, including a lipstick club, makeup brush club, and an eyeshadow palette club. All of our products are vegan, cruelty-free, and made in the US. We give our members a ton of flexibility with their subscription, including the ability to redeem rewards, customize their packages, and shop at member discounts.

I’d have to say the part I’m most proud of is our Give a Glam program where we give back to our community every week. We do random acts of kindness to help people in need, including sending care packages, creating special experiences, or surprising our members.

We’ve built an incredible team and offer a great product packed with value. It’s been an exciting journey watching it grow so quickly!

What has been the proudest moment of your career so far?
I’ve always wanted to speak on stage in front of large audiences to inspire them. I never knew when or where it was going to happen, but I always knew one day it would. When my beauty subscription company, LiveGlam, launched our first eyeshadow palette club, we threw a huge party to celebrate. We invited over 500 social media fans to our launch that had so much energy and excitement. Walking on stage to give a speech was a rush I’ve never experienced before. To be able to create an amazing product in front of hundreds of supporters with an incredible team behind me… that was the proudest moment of my career so far!
