Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The toughest part of the journey thus far is to define what Her Game is and correct people about what it is not. We are not a travel team. We are here to be the premier exposure and empowerment outlet for girls and women in sports.
Her Game – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Her Game Vision and Mission – Serve as a major catalyst for the heightened visibility, improved perception, and overall advancement of girls and women in all sports, at all levels of involvement (whether as a player, parent, official, executive, medical support, coach, trainer, or administrative staff.
Our mission is to proactively, effectively, and efficiently utilize the tools of Education, Opportunity, and Empowerment to breathe life into our Vision, manifesting positive intentions into reality.
Exciting Things Are Happening!
Her Game just launched its Brand Ambassador Program in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and the Philippines. Girls in middle, high school, and college are selected to represent Her Game at their schools and the community at large.
Her Game is hosting an online graduation for students in the 8th graders this June as a way to honor their progress.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
For myself, success is meeting my purpose, making a positive impact on the lives of young women globally, by uplifting and encouraging them to find their own place in the world. Success is teaching creatively, setting benchmarks innovatively, and knowing that your latter will be greater than your past, so who we are will improve with time and hard work as long as we want it to. Success is understanding that patience is key while time is everything. My friend’s and family’s accomplishments are important and are also my successes because the goal is to lift each other up.
