Meet Daylyn Love of Satin Sensei in South LA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daylyn Love.

Daylyn, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I grew up in different parts of South Los Angeles and drew a lot of inspiration for the work I do today from my experiences there. I started the organizing and creating templates in college while making social media display plans, managing and organizing events, and designing websites. I had a knack for organizing and making ideas come to life.

My focus is to ensure the presentation of one’s business is being enhanced while also creating and designing items that make for a more professional and organized look. I help small business owners get their ideas across to the customer within the first impression and help create a returning customer base.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Life is never a “smooth road”. Some of my own challenges I faced was organizing my presentation as well as the financial backing needed to run my own business. Organization is important but the more work that comes in, the harder it is to keep everything in order. It never discourages me though. It’s important the momentum keeps up. Financial backing to start the business was hard to come by but I worked as a multi-unit manager while going to school full-time which helped a lot.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Satin Sensei – what should we know?
Satin Sensei is a name that I go by and simply used that as the name. I specialize in organizing, enhancing, and designing different display aspects of businesses to help improve their presentation to the public. My proudest moments have been all of the positive responses from the websites that have been created so far. Everyone is very happy and making more revenue than they did before a website and presentation change.

What sets me apart is pricing as well as education. I never leave my customers without more knowledge on their own displays and more they can do on their own. Design Packs are pdf file booklets I create to help with keeping a cohesive look across the board.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Plenty of credit is due to my family in friends as they are my greatest supporters. They have always cheered me on and helped get the word out about my business once it started. I am very proud to have a backing like the one that I do.
