Meet David Frisch Sr. of Frisch & Sons

Today we’d like to introduce you to David Frisch Sr.

Frisch & Sons, Inc. has been family owned and operated in Orange and Los Angeles Counties since 1994. In 1994, Frisch & Sons Inc. was one of the first swimming pool removal specialty companies in all of Orange & Los Angeles County. Today, with over 1,500+ successful swimming pool removals under our belt, we are recognized as the top company for swimming pool removal, concrete demolition, and landscape & hardscape removal and renovation.

Frisch & Sons Inc. began when David Sr. (CEO/Owner) and Tracy (Office Manager) were expecting David Jr. They wanted to find a way to support a family and build a successful business in the area that they lived. David Sr. then bought his first truck and bobcat tractor just to start working on jobs that he could find in any way possible. He would wake up every day at 4:00 am, stark work at 6:30 am, finish work at 4:00 pm, and then go bid another job for the next day – for 15 years straight. Over time David Sr. would eventually grow the business into what it is today. 10 employees, demolition specialty company with 5-6 different operational areas, and the entire family running the business.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Long days, no employees, not enough money, no resources … it could go on for days and days. The biggest struggle, but also best motivation was the idea of owning and succeeding with something David Sr. created.

Please tell us about Frisch & Sons Inc..
In 1994, Frisch & Sons Inc. was one of the first swimming pool removal specialty companies in all of Orange and LA County. Today, with over 1,500+ successful swimming pool removals under our belt, we are now recognized as the top company for swimming pool removal, concrete demolition, and landscape & hardscape removal and renovation.

Something that sets us apart is that we aren’t a small business, we are a family business. We stick to only residential projects, because we understand and know the struggle that families go through to renovate or improve their home. In the improvement process is demolishing something old and starting fresh. As a family, we understand, know what it’s like, and operate with that same passion to improve project by project.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Worked smarter, not harder. I have always a better worker than business man. I just worked as hard as needed to succeed, and it’s finally paying off. If I had to go back, I would ask more questions to those who succeeded before me – not just have been stubborn and tried it myself. Then again, being stubborn taught me a lot of valuable lessons along the way.
