Today we’d like to introduce you to David DeLuca.
David, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was working in a little wine shop in DUMBO Brooklyn like 15 years ago and needed to get a life. I went to Sonoma to work Harvest, and my life changed, I still live in CA and work with wine everyday. I’ll die doing it.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Owning business in LA is definitely difficult because you’re up against the biggest funded companies. When I got to LA about ten years ago, I was broke, and I still am, but it’s been a fun ride, and I’ve learned a ton.
Please tell us about LA WINE.
LA WINE is a neighborhood bar that specializes in California wine and beer. We have a huge patio under the Chinatown lanterns and are connected to the gold line station. We’re known for our house label, good people and free events all week.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
When Sh*t hits the fan, don’t react for 24 hours. Stay calm and work through it.
