Meet Daniela Palavecino

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Palavecino.

Daniela, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’m a film and voiceover actress from Chile. I did a lot of productions there. Two years ago, I started to come to LA a lot to visit my sister. And I fell in love with the city. We talked with Coty (@Constanzaofficial), my sister, about working together, especially on the Internet content, since she is an incredibly talented singer and actress. Just the idea of that made me scream.

For the first time in ten years, I have the opportunity of working with my sister and that was amazing. Finally, I could realize that idea because she was living in the US for the last ten years. First, we started on Instagram doing funny content and right now, we are very close to open our YouTube channel.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As an actress, I love having the independence to create my own content. Most of the projects I had participated before generating content on the internet were on television. I love television but many decisions of the projects there do not depend on you, in the content that I make for my Social Media, I decide what to do and what characters to play and I love that. The bad thing about the internet is that you are very exposed, on one hand, it makes you closer to your audience who did not have access before, which is wonderful but on the other hand, you expose yourself to the hatred and bullying that exists online and it’s very easy to be expressed on these platforms.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am an actress, broadcaster and dubber and I have been fortunate to work on different platforms in Chile. Like Telenovelas, Series, TV shows, Theater, and voice over for Netflix mostly… When I started making content on my social networks, mainly on Instagram, I was one of the first television actresses to make content on their networks and my image became even better known there.

I am proud to have started to make my own content and show my different interests according to how my life is changing, I think that is organic and I can show myself very honest (I love to be changing all the time of characters, style, y accepting new challenge). I lived here in Los Angeles and my content has been changing according to this new stage. LA I was recently at Master Chef Celebrity Chile and I was very excited about cooking and I’m making content related to that.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I would love to have the same opportunities or more that I have had as an actress in Chile but here in Los Angeles. I love what I do and to continue developing as an artist is my greatest wish. Especially here, in this city where the industry is of such magnitude.
