Meet Daniela Mayorga

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniela Mayorga.

Hi Daniela, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I am a professional model. I have loved fashion for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been very skinny and I would always be trying on my mother’s clothes and shoes to model them. I would create a little scenario where I would walk down the runway and have my family be my audience. During those years, I was extremely outgoing with everyone I came across because I really liked interacting with people but as I got older, I realized that I was too skinny, which eventually hit my insecurities and over time made me a bit introverted/shy.

Therefore, I decided to make a change and work towards me to become the best version of myself. I was 16 when I started working on my health and fitness lifestyle. I incorporated new habits. I started to exercise, eat better, and learn how to be more disciplined. I also contacted a modeling agency that taught me how to behave, do my makeup, walk properly, eat healthy, and took acting classes. I learned everything related to modeling. While I was in this whole process, I began to promote my content on social media with my friends and make collaborations with people in the industry and that is how this wonderful journey began. I have had a lot of ups and downs. One of my goals is to become a doctor of physical therapy. I recently graduated from The University of Central Florida. Throughout my years of college, I was always a full-time student. I had to learn how to manage my time wisely to be able to do both things at the same time since they both required a lot of time and responsibility. It definitely hasn’t been an easy path but with God’s help, everything always turns out very well. God’s timing is perfect. I am very honored to have this lovely interview where everyone can learn a little bit more about me.

Thank you very much in advance for your support and collaboration in promoting my talent, you can find me on my social media as @danielamayorgah, God bless you.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
From my personal experience, it definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Being in the modeling industry is not easy at all because there is a lot of demand. I would say that it can be very competitive. You have to meet a lot of requirements. Rehearsals demand many hours of hard work. I have seen people deal with criticism and sometimes even mistreatment. Let me tell you, it is not easy at all but I wouldn’t change it for anything because I have gained knowledge, confidence and I have learned to overcome obstacles that get in my way. I continue to learn more about myself and grow.

“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” I am a warrior of God!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
In my experience as a model, I learned to have self-love and regain confidence in myself, especially because everything I do I put in the hands of God. I am extremely blessed to have the unconditional support of my family at all times. I consider that I am the most confident when it comes to participating in fashion shows where I get to walk down the runways and participating in music videos. I am very proud of my hard work and achievements.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My advice is that you should always strive to pursue your dreams and achieve them. You should overcome any obstacle that gets in your way… never ever give up!! If you have a bad experience, learn from it, get stronger and achieve your goal but do not stay stuck in a situation do whatever it takes to confront any obstacles. Always go above and beyond and you will triumph with faith in God.
