Meet D Hill, Matt Hanrahan and Willie Holmes Jr. of Classicgentleman in Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to D Hill, Matt Hanrahan and Willie Holmes Jr.

Please kick things off for us for us with some background on the story.
Classicgentleman is a team of the three guys, Willies Holmes, Matt Hanrahan and D. Hill, who all met at Cal State University Fullerton. In 2015, Willie was completing Political Science major, Matt was completing Business major and D. Hill was completing Visual Arts major.

All of us felt we could put Fullerton on a cultural map. We saw an opportunity to create an expansion to culture, community and couture through networking. Later, we establish a media service and fashion focus component. As partners, we experienced how to upkeep a lifestyle brand that borrows couture from times of historical and cultural reform. One can modernizes it according to times of today. Products and visuals has been the main focus to bring older networks into the new, for a grandiose outcome as a community.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Yes and No. Yes, because every business, I think, has a high and low moment. We are happy to work together as a team. Yet, we are new to an industry that is already moving. Every individual business has be aware of how to be more competitive and find their fit. We created our own lane and enjoying the blessings slowly. Have the right team, stay to strategy and be patient.

Please tell us about Classicgentleman.
ClassicGentleman is a lifestyle brand. Lifestyle is not about the garments on your back, but the way an individual carries out civic acts of duty for their community on a daily basis. By holding ourselves to a higher standard of fashion, our community strives to end the social ills of society by breaking down stereotypes and uniting cultures through a common goal. We have worked individually from well-established companies stand out as an agency for the culture. Classicgentleman has worked with Partikular Inc. & Kyla Joy, Operation Underground Railroad, #MoreThanAHashtag, & Pathways to Hope, OC Fashion Week, Why Aren’t You Smiling foundation, and musical performance artists.

We are trendsetters in regards to understanding a wave of growth. Through communities that deal with fashion, music and social awareness, we are the agency.

When we began working with Dr. Karamo Chilombo (Dr. Chill, father of Jhene Aiko), Dennis Graham (Father of vocal artist Drake), Highline Motor Cars in Fullerton and various venues to host events, we understood our value as well as respect. We provide the same values to everyone we collaborate with or are hired by for our services.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Find a strategy that works best and stick to it from the beginning. Then, you have to be open to how it will change a little bit at a time.
