Meet Cody Crump

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cody Crump.

Cody, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I grew up in Colorado. I got kicked out of both the middle school band and choir. Started playing music on my own at home – and fell in love with it, especially a lot of music that was in movies and tv shows. Eventually I moved to LA and worked at the Chateau Marmont for almost seven years. All while working on music, and getting it featured in a lot of tv shows and movies.

Has it been a smooth road?
Yes and no. It has been a strange adventure. Working tons of different odd-jobs. Meeting a vast range of people from all over the world. Having countless career-changing opportunities come very close and not go through. Being broke, having money. Ultimately it has been fun, and I wouldn’t change anything so far.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with your work – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a musician/composer. I write in pretty much every genre you can think of. I collaborate with a lot of different artists and write in several different languages. I think what sets me apart from other artists working in a similar world is my flexibility. Each release I do will be vastly different from the last. I get too bored working within one space, I need to let it grow and change.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I like that in one way or another pretty much all of the most talented artists in their medium come here. It is a hub for the best art in the world, the talent level is extremely high, and I find that very inspiring. I also love that it is very much a world city, and there are people from every corner of the earth here, so there is a lot of great culture and food!
