Meet Chris “Bigpapa” Blevins

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris “Bigpapa” Blevins.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I began my acting career straight out of high school studied theatre in college when on to tv and film a few years later. My first major project was being on the cover of one of Hip Hop’s greatest rapper Notorious BIG documentary about his life titled “Biggie: The Life of Notorious BIG. As of 2020, I’ve appeared in two TV shows, short films & a commercial for Epson. I’m really excited about what the future holds.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been a tough road for me. I started out with no direction, no guidance & not much of anything. I had figured it out all on my own. I was hot head back then to be honest, I acted like I didn’t need any help. Everything I did was all wrong that’s why it took me forever to get where I am today.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I’m an actor & chef. I’m known as a comedic actor & soul food cooker. I currently don’t have my own restaurant but I will soon. In the meantime, check me on the big screen. What sets me apart from others? I’m big, strong & I know what I want & I will fight for it. I will succeed.

What were you like growing up?
My mother raised me on her own & it was Very tough but she did the best she could. I didn’t know about my father until I was five, only to find out he was in place where you go to after messing up in the real world. As a child, I tried to see the good in people & cater to the ones that I felt was in need of it. It was my job to help others. In return, I got the love & support from my peers.
