Meet Chelsea Rush and Talia Prairie of Bounce Society Fitness in Costa Mesa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Rush and Talia Prairie.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Chelsea and Talia. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Talia & I were both teaching at the same fitness studio that unfortunately closed down.

We found ourselves with a great amount of clients and nowhere to teach them. They trusted us and allowed us to create our own method centered around cardio, done by bouncing on a miniature trampoline. We incorporated our extensive professional dance backgrounds and years of fitness experience to open Bounce Society. We took on as much as we could be starting with a limited morning schedule, and in just a few months, we expanded to a second location with a full night schedule. Soon after, we outgrew our subleases & took a leap of faith in opening our very own studio in Costa Mesa. It has been the most amazing adventure, learning about ourselves, people, business, our bodies and so much more. We’ve had a great support system and now, there’s nowhere to go but up.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We’ve been pretty blessed that we’ve had a great following from the start, super supportive families, and lots of advice from mentors. There’s definitely lots of trial and error in starting a business, but we just keep learning from our mistakes and continue to evolve. We know now not to dwell on the judgement of others and not to take “no” for an answer. #anythingispossible

Bounce Society Fitness Inc. – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Bounce Society is a fitness studio that offers people a “one-stop-shop” workout. We have group classes, including Bounce, Barre, Sculpt and our version of Yoga called Restore. All of our classes are designed to feed a dancer soul, as every move is to the music. It’s incredible to see people who would never have described themselves as dancers, move in a way that would take lots of practice. We also offer one-on-one privates for personalized workouts.

We are known for our intense classes and high-cardio bouncing, as well as being very exclusive; our classes have very limited spots available and they always fill up quick.

This is great for getting undivided attention from the instructor & knowing that form will always be a priority.

We are most proud of our community. The camaraderie that has grown between the clients and instructors are nothing short of inspiring. Our Bounce Society fam is a welcoming one and we get to have so much fun. It’s awesome for us (Talia & Chelsea) see bonds form in the environment we created. Most of all, the hard work that takes place is powerful to say the least.

We are set apart in the way that everybody comes to work hard. We don’t pride ourselves on the number of likes our photos get but the beads of sweat that hit the floor.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Hands down, the Grand Opening class at our new studio. We completely built out the new space from the ground up. We’re talking mirrors, floors, walls, furniture… you name it. It was all ours and it was so cool to have a packed-out class full of amazing individuals on opening day. It is empowering to have the opportunity to create our own vibe, and accept full responsibility for everything that happens under the Bounce Society roof.
