Meet Cassie Corsaro of Elite Film Productions/Realtor in Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassie Corsaro.

Cassie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
It all started 5 years ago, I left Los Angeles after film school and moved back home because I did not have a direction in where I was going in life and didn’t know what to do with my film background. I dealt with a lot of anxiety and was overweight working at Wendy’s for $9.00 an hour. I was really lost. I had my film background but wasn’t doing anything with it. I had the opportunity to film a 5-year-olds birthday party and that’s where this journey all began. The family received their video back and told me how wonderful of a job I did and the mom recommended I should start my own video company.

She said, I should start filming weddings and that could be a way for me to quit Wendys and have a direction in life. So there I was 22, lost, but still had some hope so I put my first ad on craigslist. I got my first hit and filmed a wedding for $450. After that, I started getting referred and 2 years into the business, I did 56 weddings. I was finally growing and getting to where I needed to be. My business was thriving but my physical appearance was not. That’s when I met a guy who got me into lifting and fitness.

He helped me lost 50lbs. and get my self-esteem back. After losing the weight my business started thriving more. I am from a small town in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania called Greensburg, PA. I lived there all my life until college when I moved to LA and I saw what LA was like and knew at this point I wanted to return to LA. By this time, I was 3 years into my business, doubled my income and knew it was time to leave Pennsylvania. I was gaining followers on Instagram because I would always post my work with filming fitness, and weddings, that I met a guy who wanted to book me for a fitness shoot.

So, I flew to orange county to film him and that’s when I fell in love with OC. So after I got back from my trip, I started saving and putting money away for the big move and 2 months later, I said goodbye to my family and moved here to OC. I have now been here for 2 years officially this year (November 2018), I have tripled my income and feel like the most amazing person in the world. Since moving here, I have grown my business to film more than just weddings. I am filming luxury properties and houses and cars, and on top of that, I decided to get my real estate license. So now, I guess you could say I own 2 businesses LOL!! I am fit, fully vegan and well aware of my potential here in orange county, and I am well on my way to making my first $ 300,000 in the next year and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be going this fast… I want to be the example that you can come from nothing and make it into something. I was not rich growing up, and I know the value of a dollar. I now have a full-time youtube channel and am very active with my following on Instagram. I love fitness, speaking, entrepreneurship, making money and enjoying traveling. I want to spread the word that you can do it. No matter what the obstacles are, you can overcome anything and achieve anything you put your mind to. have patience, coffee and a whole lot of dedication and you’ll do some really big things.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Growing up with an alcoholic father really helped me become who I am today. I don’t drink alcohol because of him and he is my motivation to do as much as I can in life and to become successful because he didn’t go very far in life and I want to be the opposite. We have a generic relationship now, where I’ll call and say hi or he will call and say hi, but he was never really a father. I had my mother by my side, she was my biggest cheerleader. we weren’t rich and we weren’t poor, but I didn’t get my mindset that I have now until I turned 25, which I now know that when I have kids, they will be taught the proper mindset by the age of 15. They will know right from wrong, they will know what healthy food is and they will learn how to save money. All the things that I didn’t have. I am forever grateful I had my past because it would not have made me into the strong woman I am today.

Being broke was one of the obstacles before starting my business. I had to do as many free things as possible to spread the word that my business was open. Craigslist was my big lead helper. It brought me so many leads and the coolest thing was I did it for free. I posted on Facebook and Instagram and just ran crazy cheap specials to get the word out and sure enough, it worked. Now, I am well known and growing even more in OC because people know my name and refer me and now they know me as the female videographer who rocks! Lol!

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Currently, my office is right on John Wayne property. I own a video production company and freelance with Antis Real Estate Photography. They do the photos and I do the video! Aubrey the owner, is absolutely a sweetheart. We have helped each other grow over the past year and our girl power together helps us achieve a lot more than we could alone, and offer video now to her customers. I shoot about 10 houses a week on the average give or take, and with the drone video helping realtors sell their houses 10 times faster than they would regular we are booked in full non stop every week! It’s amazing and we are truly Blessed!

I also just got my real estate license. I specialize in property videos, drone videography, virtual tours, weddings, commercials, promotional work, social media marketing and selling real estate. This is the best year ever because this is my year to grind and make the millions now so I can retire young and start traveling and speaking. I want to change the world one day at a time and when I take my last breath here on earth, I want to be known as a legend. Someone who cared, fed the homeless, reached out to people in need, spoke motivation and helped change people lives. I am most proud that I do this all alone and I don’t have help. I do all the shooting and editing and occasionally hire freelance videographers for second camera work, but everything is done with me. Contracts, booking, advertising, marketing, editing, producing, like literally everything I like to think of myself as a boss lady! 🙂

What were you like growing up?
SUUUUUPPPPPPEEERRRR HYPER. I was bullied a lot for singing and doing musical theater, but something about being on stage really made me feel like that was where I was meant to be. I still love to sing and perform in the shower and hope sometime soon to get back on the stage and have some fun! Growing up, I was a dancer and singer and I did gymnastics. I was very active and had a ton of energy. I think being in those activities really helped me become who I am today. I was never a kid who had a shell though, my shell must have been broken when I came out of the womb. I honestly don’t ever get nervous or feel embarrassed, I just go with the flow and if someone has a problem with me I let it go and move on and don’t let their negative energy attach to me 🙂
