Meet Carson’s Weight and Fat Loss Guru: Carl Ihenacho

Today we’d like to introduce you to inspiring Carl Ihenacho.

Carl , please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Growing up, I was an obese child. I was an emotional eater, very depressed, and had developed low self-esteem. I hated how I felt in my own skin.

My parents got me into playing sports, where I learned the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle. I began to eat right, was active 4-6 times a week, and most importantly surrounded myself with people that had my health in mind.

I went to San Jose State University, where I met my wife and one of my closest friends Jeff, who now together we run and operate Fight To Fitness here in Carson, CA. After college, I went on to play in the NFL for both the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders, where I learned habits like discipline and work ethic, healthy traits that I instill in my personal training clients.

When I finished playing football, I knew I wanted to give back to my community so I decided to open up Fight To Fitness, Carson’s #1 Personal Training and Boot Camp facility. Together, with one of my closest friends, we have created a program that works for all ages and not only offers fat burning workouts, but easy to follow nutrition plans, recipes, motivation by our certified trainers, and most importantly life changing results!

Has it been a smooth road?
As always, when it comes to health and fitness the biggest challenge is getting your clients to change their lifestyles by eating right, being more active, and most importantly dealing with life’s stressors differently.

At Fight To Fitness, we try to spend just as much time on mindset, discipline, and stress management as we do on working out and eating right. We know that living a healthy lifestyle requires a balance in all phases of life so we try to help our clients find that balance.

How would you describe the type of kid you were growing up?
Growing up I was quiet and into comics. I am a nerd when it comes to electronics, technology, and also Marvel and DC movies lol.

What is your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory has always been centered around spending time with my family. From my mom teaching us how to cook, to my dad beating us in races as a kid, to me and my brothers always rallying together against my parents lol, there were just so many fun times spent with them that I will always cherish forever.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plans for the future is to be able to give back to my community. I really enjoy helping people and plan on helping as many people as possible change their lives through my personal training and boot camp program. I want to help motivate and inspire others to live a healthier lifestyle.
