Meet Caroline Rothwell of CARO Marketing in Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caroline Rothwell.

Caroline, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started CARO in 2004, once I resigned as VP-International Marketing for a $140M Los Angeles denim brand. It was sheer exhaustion from building a brand empire, that inspired me to re-ignite the passion – but on my own terms. I started small with some key accounts, providing holistic branding, marketing and PR consulting. It grew and I grew and today I have worked with 100s of brands around the world, guiding them with trust and experience to help them actualize their goals and build a viable and sustainable business in ever-changing times.

Has it been a smooth road?
It’s all perspective I have learned. Everything happens as it is supposed to happen so a few bumps in the road, are only opportunities to learn. The way I enter into a relationship with a client is different today than it was 10 years ago, because I have gotten better over time. The client’s needs are easier to identify and understand now, so the bumps are smoother than they were before now. Struggles are real, and through them, we have stories, experiences and opportunities to do things we never dreamed possible. It’s truly been a journey I cherish.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with CARO Marketing – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
My business is branding and marketing for fashion brands and businesses seeking to gain awareness and business in the US market. As an agency, we provide public relations services to secure strategic media and influencer placements that create buzz and awareness among target markets. Our stylist, celebrity and media relationships have been nurtured for more than 15 years, and in this time, we have developed the care and finesse it takes to work with top talent in a way that is true, meaningful and direct. I am most proud of our longevity and reputation. What sets CARO apart from other agencies is our ability to operate like a mini-advertising agency while providing high performance in public relations, celebrity styling, and digital influencer relations to support the creative projects. We also recently opened our own creative photo studio to support the growing needs of clients seeking fresh, editorial quality images to promote themselves. I am also very proud of those who worked or still work at CARO for all their input, invested time and personality. A great team makes every day at work… fun.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love Los Angeles for its irreverence, wellness culture, and never-ending options for enjoying the perfect weather; the beach, mountains, desert. The worst about LA, is simply the traffic.
