Meet Stacy Brecht of Carder Brecht Communications

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacy Brecht.

Stacy, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Since forming Carder Brecht Communications (CBC) in 2009, we have successfully managed public relations for a diverse clientele ranging from Billboard charting recording artists to Silicon Valley technology companies. Running CBC enables me to merge my passion for entertainment and training in business to advance the public image and marketing goals of our clients.

My background offers a unique perspective for advancing opportunity and exposure for our clientele. While I have a master’s degree in business management and a bachelor’s degree in communication, I always had a passion for entertainment. Growing up in the Midwest, I was in awe of Stevie Nicks and her success as a woman in the entertainment industry and immersed myself in a variety of musical genres including R&B, hip-hop, rock, metal and pop. My enthusiasm for the entertainment industry led me to Los Angeles where I advanced my marketing and public relations career as well as danced and modeled professionally. These pursuits opened vast networks and resources for CBC clients in the industry.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Being an entrepreneur is not the most seamless professional journey, but running CBC is rewarding. Public relations is an ever-changing field, so it’s imperative to stay ahead of emerging technology and trends. It’s an exciting challenge that CBC embraces. We effectively utilize our resources to share our clients’ stories, highlight their talents, and open the door to greater successes. My vision for CBC was to help artists, businesses and nonprofit organizations accomplish their dreams, and we get to do that every day.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Carder Brecht Communications story. Tell us more about the business.
CBC specializes in designing and executing public relations campaigns for national and international clients in entertainment, engineering, technology, publishing and nonprofit organizations. We offer a variety of services including:
– public relations (securing media coverage, managing red carpet events, providing media interview coaching)
– branding/image development
– business development
– website design and development
– crisis communications management

What sets CBC apart is a passion for helping clients shine in the media and my business background. My writing has been published on CBS, Time Warner, LA Weekly and the international publication, Top Agent Magazine. I am also an adjunct business management instructor at the University of La Verne.

My educational background enabled me to travel to Europe and the East Coast and examine a myriad of companies and management objectives. Combining my academic and international business experience enhances the services we offer clients through professionally drafted publications, contract negotiations and promotional campaigns. These strengths are reinforced by CBC’s commitment to helping others succeed.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
While I believe in being at the right place at the right time, I also believe in the importance of hard work. If there is not a door available to open, sometimes you have to build one. Integrating opportunity, resources and persistence has helped CBC become what it is today.
