Meet Camesha Gosha

Today we’d like to introduce you to Camesha Gosha.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Camesha. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Even as a little girl, I had an obsession with words! I’m a self-proclaimed word nerd! I first earned a living for my words 10+ years ago. From writing and producing promos for TV to blogging, these fingers never seem to leave the keyboard.

A typical day used to involve catching up on the latest pop culture news. Flipping through the pages of fashion and entertainment mags was required reading. Watching lots of television, and telling you why it’s must-watch TV for you, was also a must-do. Having my voice “heard” through publications and televisions around the globe – that was my life as a writer for television and print. I stepped away from my career in television to focus on my family and growing my own corner of the internet,

I’m a former network television writer/producer turned motivator. After more than a decade of being in television, I merged my love of writing with my passion for motivating moms to find and follow our dreams.

As a former mommy blogger, I’ve met moms from all over. One thing that was consistent is the need to balance their dreams and goals with motherhood. My kids inspired me to step out and still follow some dreams of my own and I share that inspiration with other moms on my website, Camesha.com.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a mother and a business owner comes with its own set of unique challenges. Especially when you work from home and your kids are home with you most of the time. My biggest struggle has been time. I’ve learned to be intentional when I work so that things really get accomplished. What works is knowing what the priorities are and being realistic about the to do list.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My business is a mom lifestyle/motivational blog. I create content and products that inspire moms to take our dreams off the back burner and live them fully in view of our kids. I’m most proud of the connection I have with my readers. I love the emails where they share how something I’ve created has impacted them or just that they’ve been inspired by something I’ve said. I read every email and they always motivate me to keep going and keep sharing. I’m also excited that my work has earned me a spot as an Ambassador for O, the Oprah Magazine. It’s a great opportunity to spread my message to an even larger audience. I’ve also been able to meet some incredible people along the way.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood is really hard to pinpoint. As an only child, I spent a ton of time with my mom and my cousins. My cousins were pretty much my unofficial brothers and sisters. We spent a lot of time exploring. Whether it was finding hiking trails at a park or short cuts in the neighborhood, we were never short on adventure. That kind of freedom isn’t the same for kids now. I didn’t know it then, but it was a gift.
