Meet Cal Iseminger of Cal’s Game Night

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cal Iseminger.

Cal, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve always been into the game night as far back as I can remember and have always been known for hosting game nights. I started out hosting game nights for my friends only and then was asked by a close friend Marc Cherry if I would do a game night for his birthday. Felicity Huffman attended that game night and insisted that I do this for her birthday as well. A few weeks after hosting a game night for Felicity Huffman’s birthday she went on The Ellen Show and mentioned me by name and commenting on how fun the game night had been. After this, we blew up very quickly. Weeks later I was hosting Elizabeth Banks birthday, Matthew Perry’s 40th birthday, Jennifer Love Hewitt and the list go on. Nine years later I own this successful Game Night company and the only one of its kind in Los Angeles. We are booked if not double booked every weekend and some weeknights. We now book typically months in advance and the list of celebrity clients and big corporate clients continue to grow. We have also done corporate team building game nights for Google, NBC Universal, and The Honest Company. We continue to grow and learn as we go. We have been featured on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and have another episode this season airing in January. We are excited for the future and continue to expand as popularity grows. In the 9 years of doing business, we have only ever received rave reviews and 99% of our clients are repeat customers.

Has it been a smooth road?
Honestly, it has been a pretty smooth road and for that, I am completely blessed and lucky. It seems like a lot of fun hosting game nights but it is a ton of work with an insane amount of pressure. We definitely had our mistakes where I began to sweat profusely in the middle of an event but the key is not letting your clients know that is happening and fix the mistake as quickly as possible. Knock on wood, we have never had any major disasters.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Cal’s Game Night – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We create custom game night experiences for your parties and events. We have done everything from a small birthday party for 8-year-old kids to 400 executives at a huge conference and everything in between. Our game night experience is unlike anything you will have experienced before. You can’t buy this game night experience or games in any store. We have had many clients that had their own regular game nights for years and still raved that ours was unlike anything they had done before. We have also fixed many “broken” game nights where things got out of control and they didn’t know how to handle. Cal’s Game Night came in and now we are regulars for their game nights. The reviews speak for themselves and it’s something you just have to experience. We custom cater our game nights for every event and will create an experience based on your event and your guests. We are proud to have won numerous awards for our company, been featured on national television numerous times, and hosted game night events for everyone from celebrities, to the mayor. After every event, it never fails we always have people come up to us and to the host and say “That was the most fun I’ve ever had at an event”! There really aren’t any other game night companies doing what we do, at least that I am aware of and I’ve searched. Our nine years of experience and top notch customer service puts us ahead of the rest.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love that people are constantly hosting parties and living life in this city! That allows us to have many opportunities to host game night events. I love how much people love game night and to have fun! I love the diversity of our city where you can be anything you want to be and find others that relate to you. What do I like least about our city? The traffic and the fact I can’t afford to buy a house… yet!

  • Our game nights range from $900-$5,000 it just depends on the event and what the clients are requesting.
