Meet Bryan Chesters of Let’s Party LA Entertainment in Studio City

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan Chesters.

Let’s Party LA Entertainment is a DJ/MC company that provides “Entertainment for all Occasions”! Founder – Bryan Chesters – has a long background in Entertainment. He was an assistant cruise director on Princess Cruises & Holland America Cruise line and perfected his MC skills. After receiving a BA in Music from UCLA he began mixing music and entertaining at events in NY and LA. He created Let’s Party LA back in 2001 and has been entertaining So-Cal audiences ever since.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My business is based almost solely on referral and word of mouth advertising. Therefore, it was challenging in the beginning to earn the trust of my clients. However, after a few successful gigs word got around and I was Dj’ing all over So Cal.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Let’s Party LA Entertainment story. Tell us more about the business.
I think the thing that is unique about Let’s Party LA is that we can handle almost any type of event. I’ve DJ’d tons of weddings/ mitzvahs/ birthdays/ corporate events. But my staff and I can also handle kid’s parties’/ anniversary parties/ picnics/ school dances/ holiday events/ country western line dancing/ big band nights/ disco parties/ 80’s proms/ fund raisers. I can’t think of one type of event or music that we haven’t done or wouldn’t be able to handle.

We’ve also Dj’d a lot of celebrity events. However due to the nature of disclosure agreements I can’t mention which ones. I truly love what I do. There is no greater joy than watching a group of people let loose and truly enjoy themselves. Music has a way of releasing tension and allowing pure joy to take over.

I’m also extremely proud of all the amazing weddings we’ve done over the years. I feel so lucky to be part of one of the most personal days of my client’s lives. Typically, I get to run the sound for the ceremony and witness them exchanging their vows all the way through the first dance and a night of crazy dancing with their friends and family! It’s the best job in the world!

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I’m not sure if ‘luck’ is the right word – I do know that I have been extremely fortunate to be able to do what I do for a living. I’ve never been a ‘sit in the office’ 9 to 5 kind of guy. Therefore, this type of job is right up my alley. I love meeting with my clients to discuss their events well in advance of an event date. And by the time their event arrives we almost feel like close friends or family. I like the personal side of what I do. And for that I feel very lucky.
