Meet Brittney Level

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittney Level.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Started my acting Journey about six years ago. Took classes to learn the basics, of auditions, techniques, etc… Got headshots and looked for an agency while booking small roles in commercials and TV shows. Got picked up by an agency Jacob Lawson/Priviledge Talent agency. Started booking bigger roles and constantly take classes, hone my skills even when I’m not on set I just throw my self into work and have been a working actor ever since on shows such as “The Bobby Brown Story” the purge and lifetimes “Pride & Prejudice “ Atlanta. I also direct, sing and create my own content.

Has it been a smooth road?
Not at all. Smooth road is not in the vocabulary at all when you’re in the entertainment industry. There are so many obstacles certain things that you can’t change about yourself like specific physicalities that you can’t change that a casting director, director or producer of a film might be looking for. There are financial challenges and obstacles.

There are times where you stress out about a certain role that you may have booked, and now you’ve also booked two other shows, and you’re trying to figure out which one is priority and it’s going to further you along in your career while making it possible for you to be happy & enjoy the process. You Have to be strong-minded, With a thick skin, and levelheaded in this industry or it’s going to be very hard for you to succeed.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
I’m first and foremost an actress. I’m also working on my EP as well and I direct music videos. I played Melika in the Bobby Brown story, wrapped up the purge on USA network earlier last year , and pride and prejudice Atlanta that’s gonna be out on lifetime spring 2019. I’m most proud of sticking with my decision to be in this industry because it is so cutthroat and very hard, but it’s something that I really really really love to do, and I don’t see myself doing anything else. And what sets me apart from others is that I know that there is no one else out there like Me.

They may look similar they may dress similar they may even have the same mannerisms but they’re not going to bring to the table what I’m bringing to the table because youmy foundation is rooted differently than others. We all have a specific uniqueness to us. So the obstacles and journey that I’ve gone through in my life is what makes me, and sets me apart from anybody else that’s going for the exact same role as I am & they’re not going to do it the way that I do it.

Where do you see your industry going over the next 5-10 years? Any big shifts, changes, trends, etc?
Definitely big shifts and changes in the next 5 to 10 years. A blockbuster film underneath my belt, to be starring in my first lead role I definitely want a recurring role on a major television series and just see myself growing and being a better actress and a better person and a productive member of society. I just see that happening for me I think if you worked really really hard there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be able to get exactly what you want.
