Meet Brittany Smith of Busy B Services in Carmichael

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Smith.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have always felt out of place at every job I have ever had. I always had a stuck feeling and wanted to make a change. Right before I had my daughter, I also got my dream job. Although I loved what I was doing and the people were great, I still had that stuck feeling.

When my daughter was two months old, I strapped her into my chest and walked downtown to open my business and Busy B Services was born. I am still working on building my business, but it provided the freedom I once never seen possible. I had always had thoughts about opening a business and I finally got the courage to take action.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
One of the main struggles I had when starting my business was finding all the right information. There is so much out there that it can get extremely overwhelming. However, I remained determined and persistent to learn what I needed. My really good friend, Bri Jacob’s, the owner of The Roze Loft helped me in tremendous ways by offering me all her knowledge to help me propel forward.

Another obstacle was working on my business while working full time and being a new mother. It is still difficult, but I know what I want and I know that I need to do the work to make it happen.

Busy B Services is a Virtual Assistant service company that provides entrepreneurs and small businesses with numerous tasks. I specialize in social media management which is a very important marketing tool for companies, but also very time-consuming. I help my clients by taking this off their hands so they can focus on other tasks.

In my company, I am known for making personal connections with my clients because I take relationships seriously.

I am proud that I have recurring clients that know they can count on me.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always very opinionated and curious. I always wanted to learn whenever I could and work on becoming better.

I have also always been very empathetic which allowed me to make many different types of friends who always felt close to me.

These traits are what I also use in my business today.
