Meet Brittani Arceneaux

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittani Arceneaux.

Brittani, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
As I sit here and think about how I ended up in the real estate, my mind takes me back to a distinct memory during my childhood.

Whenever we passed by an open house, I would beg my mother to stop so we could check them out, and we would. I think just the idea of one day living in one of these beautiful homes inspired me.

Fast forward to now, I still have that same enthusiasm for real estate. I left my job in the entertainment industry and haven’t looked back since. I was set on entering the luxury real estate space, so I positioned myself early on by working with other top producing agents in the luxury space.

I was able to learn from them and utilize their network and resources to my benefit. As a firm believer that homeownership is the key to building generational wealth, I quickly became passionate about connecting people with homes they love and providing resources to my community.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
I’m my own boss and I’m in charge of building my brand. If I don’t sell, I don’t get paid. So as you can imagine, it’s filled with ups & downs, but having that entrepreneurial mindset prepared me for adversity.

My first few years in real estate were filled with learning experiences & financial uncertainties and definitely took a toll on my confidence at times. I had to learn to be comfortable with being uncomfortable, especially when it came to navigating the luxury space, as a black woman.

Representation matters for so many different reasons and not always seeing people who looked like me is unfortunate. Nonetheless, I continue to show up as my best self in every situation.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a luxury realtor in Los Angeles, CA. I recently joined Hilton & Hyland, the leading Los Angeles luxury brokerage. I help clients sell, buy and invest in residential real estate.

It’s important that I aid my clients and community through the process with expertise, empathy, and ethics, no matter what the price point. I treat every deal with the same level of importance and care. That’s what sets me apart from other realtors.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
If my mom were to describe me growing up, she would say I was kind, mature, smart, and goal-oriented.

I learned from an early age that if I wanted to win, I had to work hard. That mantra played out many times throughout my life when it came to my education, dance, and later in my real estate career.
