Meet Brian Ngendo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Ngendo.

Brian, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started as a master of ceremony in an African club where I use to get a chance to hype up the Dj once in a while. This got me to admire a Dj’s work that I used to observe every day, I made my way to that booth. On this hustle, I met a lot of people who didn’t like my content and some that liked my content. At this point, I had mixed emotions on whether to proceed or drop everything.

I remember one day, I got a good paycheck at work back then, I used to work at Walmart and purchased a Dj controller and was left with 20 dollars only having that I still had bills to take care of but still took the risk. So now, I have a Dj controller in my house and I was so excited about putting what I use to observe every night from the African spot.

The Dj’s name was Dj Wagura. So every night, I used to learn something new and go home practice all weekend. Time went by, never gave up and before I knew it, I was getting better and better.

Some club owners in Dallas, Texas gave me a chance to Dj in his club every Saturday and this was a demanding crowd with all that pressure the crowd helped me build a craft so courageous that I got even better in my disk jockey skills. This opened to more and more doors that got me into a prime figure where a lot of people noticed me.

At this point, I had to step up my game, the only way to stay legible in the business so I started getting into promoting too. So now, I am a Dj hypeman Promoter/Event organizer who started my own company called mcre_entertainment which had done famous artists from Africa live performances and public figures appearances. Promoted for big artists like Davido in 2018, Burna boy 2019, Demarco in 2018, konshens 2019, Mavado 2019, Alaine 2018. Hosted known African celebrities like Vera Sidika, Chameleon, Arrow Bwoy, Eddy Kenzo, Kristoff and many more just to mention. This turned me from Brian to a known mcrayanthedj and a well known established company that is still running till today.

This is just a brief up of my story too much information left aside Thank you.

Has it been a smooth road?
Entertainment is a very tricky business to start having been that things change too quickly and you have to keep up with the trend every single day. Secondly, it’s a very big platform so it’s a challenge to serve everybody to their demands.

Balancing is a challenge and a hustle.

This is like a chess game when you see a good move, you have to look for a better one.

Tell us about your company. What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of as a company? What sets you apart from others?
What makes my company unique is that I hustle my cards from scratch. When you look at all my events, block parties, concerts, family events, club shows with McRayanTheDj on them, it’s a self-sponsored event me and me alone.

I am known to deliver to what is promised and giving people good events to enjoy them selfs. I am also known as a good Dj and hypeman and finally, I am known to be a big promoter which has opened more and more doors which it still is.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 5 to 10 years, I want to brand myself internationally. When I do a concert or event, I want to see people from all types of places you can think off, I don’t want to serve one specific type of crowd, I want to serve to all.
Secondly, I want to expand my company to Africa and help the needy as a non-profit organization that has been, that’s where I am from, I have to give back to my people.
