Today we’d like to introduce you to Brennon Edwards.
Transit Pictures was founded by Brennon Edwards(me) and Tony Valentino in September 2015. We founded the company after having worked together on multiple network travel shows for National Geographic, Discovery, and the Travel Channel. We believed it wasn’t rocket science to create industry-level content and that we could do it ourselves with our small team(s).
We started off with one big client, World Ventures, who we traveled the world with to capture engaging content. From there, we started to work and focus on docu-environmental content for some of the biggest organizations in the country. (the Sierra Club, Bloomberg, ClimateWorks, etc.)
Since we love creating, we also began creating our own content and now own parts of multiple YouTube channels and podcasts that are partnered with some of the most popular comedians on social media. (Tony Baker, Tahir Moore, etc.)
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Being a business owner is not a smooth road. You’re constantly having to learn and adapt to whatever situation is in front of you. Lots of times clients will abruptly have to stop creating content with you due to no fault of your own. We’ve experienced this multiple times, and have had to re-focus and re-think what we do and how we approach creating content and sustainability.
Please tell us about Transit Pictures.
We want to help you make videos that don’t just ask for attention but capture it. Whether you’re in the business of convincing a shopper to try a new product, inviting an explorer on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, or imploring world leaders to shift their priorities, you’ve got something to say and we want you to be heard.
We’ll take your viewers on stunning adventures with expertly captured cinematic images, and move them with real, human stories told thoughtfully. Though we deliver big results, our crew is nimble, adaptable and able to work with your team to make every project possible. But most of all we enjoy the experience of filmmaking, and fun is mandatory- if the process is uninteresting then the results will be too.
Start your next project with Transit Pictures and stop insisting that people listen to you, and instead dare them to ignore you.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I think success is luck meeting preparedness. We’ve had our success because we spend all of our idle time creating, growing, and learning. I feel a few small lucky breaks are what started our company, and our dedication to being better creators everyday is what has sustained us.
