Meet Brandon Florian of Porter Ranch Realty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Florian.

Hi Brandon, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I graduated from UCLA as an aerospace engineer and also got MBA from Pepperdine. Even though I received my Real Estate license in 2005, I committed myself to a 17-year career working in the Southern California aerospace and defense industry. I worked for large defense contractors in both engineering, business development, and strategy and innovation.

During the pandemic and after the birth of my first child, I decided that I wanted to focus on family and make a change that provided more independence, which lead to my decision to exit the aerospace & defense industry and enter the real estate business.

I come from a real estate pedigree since my mother, Monica Florian is a top producer and highly recognized agent at Coldwell Banker serving the Porter Ranch community for over 20 years. I was trained by her through multiple transactions, which has given me invaluable training on how to deal with the many challenges that can arise. My professional background and experience in finance, strategy, data analysis, and engineering allow me to bring a unique perspective to real estate and its nuances.

Porter Ranch Realty is a family-run office, where my father is the founder and broker. Though the business has been around for a few years, recently with my arrival, we are starting to grow quickly. Our goal is to train newly licensed agents to be successful and create a personal connection with them compared to large franchise office environment.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
All business growth is fraught with challenges. Our main struggle has been getting the name on there and creating brand recognition through grassroots marketing, online digital ads, and social media content. In the last few months, we have since a noticeable increase in web traffic as well as more client inquiries.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Porter Ranch Realty?
Our business specializes in all aspects of residential real estate with some experience in commercial, though it is not our main focus. Real estate has a lot of rules and laws that must be followed for the protection of everyone involved. We pride ourselves on staying up-to-date and informed on new policies and procedures and continuing education to ensure we advise our clients to the best of our ability.

The main aspect of our business that sets us apart is that we are 100% remote with no “store front” office full of agents sitting at their desks. Especially in a post-pandemic world, we know that employees are much more efficient working from home. We do not believe that agents need to be in an office waiting for a client to walk in since everything is done online now.

What I like most about our brand is that we employ the latest in novel digital tools to make our interactions with our clients easier and seamless. In today’s age, where everyone is constantly on the move, you need to be able to connect, send, sign, chat, etc. at the speed of the internet. The days of setting up appointments in an office are long gone.

As for what readers should know about us is that we are a boutique firm. While we might not have 50 or 100 agents, we are still committed to offering just as good of service, or better, than any other franchise office.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Don’t be afraid to ask for advice from people that have more experience than you. Be personable, friendly, and willing to collaborate.
