Today we’d like to introduce you to Branden Rademacher.
Branden, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
So I started in the car finance arena while I was in school studying for my MBA. Once I finished, I needed something more to do but I didn’t know what direction I wanted to head. My dad wanted to introduce me to a friend of his that had a business of food distribution. Being as hard headed as I am, I said no at first, but eventually wised up and took my dad up on his offer. After the meeting I felt that I could not only do what they were doing but I saw areas that I could improve upon and possibly out do what they were doing but in a different region of the state. Within 3 months of the meeting we opened and had our first delivery within 2 weeks and have continued to grow.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has been far from a smooth road. Schooling can only teach you so much until the real world aspect of business hits you right in the face. For each step forward we took, there were lessons that we learned, from how to scale the business from 0 trucks to 1 truck to 2 trucks and so on. As well as how to hire employees and all the laws associated with that, and all the way to the financial side and how day to day expenses/sales affect the bottom line. It has been 2am wake up calls to 9pm closing for the last 3.5 years. I have been fortunate to have a support system in my parents and my wife who have helped in every step from bouncing ideas off of, to them giving me ideas to run with but it did not matter whether the ideas worked or not, each decision was a learning experience

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The diversity of the people I get to interact with on a daily basis is pretty incredible that most city just don’t have but the worst part is the traffic
