Meet BONES uk

Today we’d like to introduce you to BONES uk .

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
When we had just started BONES. Like 6 months in. Carmen had met a little known guitarist called Mr Jeff Beck at a party and told him to come to one of our shows. They’d both had a couple of martinis and exchanged numbers.
SO like 2 weeks later we are set to play like our third gig ever as BONES at this pub in Camden, London. And on the guest list is like…
-Rosies mum
-Rosies dad
-best mate + 1
and
-Jeff Bloody Beck
and I (Rosie ) am like to Carm, there is NO way he’s showing up. No WAY.
AND…HE….DOES….
He stands in the middle of the audience (of like 9 people) with his wife and watches the whole show.
After the gig he took us out for an Indian meal, tells us how much he loved the show and explains he has a world tour booked playing intimate venues like Madison square gardens, Hollywood bowl with Buddy Guy, supporting, but he needs a record to promote while he’s on the road and would we like to write it with him and then tour it?

SOoooo after pinching our selves we obviously said yes.
And THAT is exactly what we did.

After touring with Jeff for a year we ended in Japan then moved to LA to pick BONES back up.
And HERE we ARE.

Please tell us about your art.
We make music. We make music for you to dance too. To drink too. To make out too. To fight too. To drive too. To walk like a bad arse too.
We want our music to make you feel empowered. Like you have a safe space with us to be exactly who you are. To make you feel like you’ve found your home, your gang, your army. We want to help you get out of bed in the morning. To be proud of every scar or beautiful imperfection on (or inside) your body.
We come with ROCK AND ROLL from the FUTURE.
And we will always use our musical platform to say the things we believe in.

As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
Happiness. Enjoying what you are doing. You have to love what you do or stop doing it. We made the decision to focus on the ride rather than the destination a while ago and are so much happier for it.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
COME TO SHOWS. We put on our own parties in our underground hideouts. They happen across the US. Or catch us on tour with KORN next year.
