Today we’d like to introduce you to Amyn Nasser.
Amyn, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am a fashion, celebrity, architecture and erotica photographer. My work has been published in magazines worldwide including Vogue, Vogue Hommes, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, L’Officiel, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, and more. My photographs are collected and in private collections and galleries worldwide.
Has it been a smooth road?
Yes, and No! Technology changes, technology moving fast, digital format changes, speed, and recessions!
What role has luck had in your life and career?
Luck plays a role based on the quality and caliber of work. I always count on something magical, unexpected to come about. It’s like that inner voice… and makes it much more fun as it is not something one can predict. It puts a smile on my face knowing that there’s that extra force out there that is going along with what I am working on!
Is there a quality or characteristic that has played an outsized role in your success?
The quality and character of charm, humor and easiness. One has to be available, and availability in its psychological stand is important towards success! This does not mean compromise. There is no such thing as a compromise or “plan b”. If I compromised, I would be short changing the max of what I know would bring about a successful production. We all try to tame down, why…fear, trying to please, politically correct? Then we give examples of persons taking risks. That’s an oddity. In every production, you should be giving your best know-how which comes from proper research, understanding, and placement. The results will show in time, guaranteed.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The best? Los Angeles! The women! Every woman looks fabulous in the gorgeous California sunshine! It’s a place where the landscape gives you so much in contrast.
The least? Los Angeles! The lack of organized traffic flow which is a piece of cake to sort out if it was taken with any seriousness.
