Meet Bebe Couri

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bebe Couri.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Being born in Cincinnati, Ohio I have always had a love of fashion. It wasn’t until 2010 when a local designer asked me to walk in her fashion show that I got my start. After a few years doing just modeling, I began to fall in love with behind the scenes action. Runway coaching, styling and set designing. Entering into a few shows in Cincinnati and Atlanta, I found my love for style and begin to work as primarily a Wardrobe stylist. Having such a whimsical sense of fashion, in 2018 I decided to take the big jump to move to L.A. Being here for almost two years, I had the opportunity to work with celebrities and eventually was introduced to the ‘Alani Taylor’ brand in October of 2019. Now Working as the Head Stylist and Creative Director, for the notable brand, which was just featured in Beyoncé ‘Black is King’ movie. I am working on releasing a shoe brand of my own before the end of the 2020 year.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Moving away from family and close friends is never an easy thing to do. With having dreams and a vision that only you can see, makes for challenges within itself. I had to get used to the culture and way L.A moved. But within my first year, I had a pretty good understanding of what I needed to do. My faith has been tested but never failed. Which is why I know I am where I am today.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
My company is simply my name Bebe Couri. I am a professional Wardrobe Stylist. I specialize in creating looks for clients that are notable, to ones that may just need wardrobe help. Besides being just a “Wardrobe Stylist”, I am a Creative Director. Who brings the entire package. From how a client looks, to what environment they are placed in. Ultimately achieving what an audience perceives for clients vision. My proudest moments within my company was taking the leap to move to L.A and being able to style for Netflix, Disney, The Grammys and The Oscars. What sets me apart from other Stylists, is my eye for the end goal. I don’t just dress clients but I style them. That says a lot within itself.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
As far as luck, I don’t think I have any. But blessed, I think I am highly. My faith plays a big role within what I do. And my belief in myself keeps me grounded and grinding. At this point in life, my hands are off the wheel, and this is all faith, prayer, with a lil hard work and dedication.
